High poly was sculpted in mudbox, low poly created in topogun and maya and textures painted in photoshop. Textures are half photo sourced and half hand painted. The high poly was sculpted long ago but only recently i decided to create a game res version of the character. The texture work was rushed(2 days work) quite a bit since i wanted to wrap up this character.<br />

Character @ 9390 triangles with 2k texture for body and 1K for head.<br />

My intention here was to create my own interpretation of Hellboy and push the proportions/stylization while keeping the skin and anatomy realistic. i also decided to make him a little older/overweight since he hasn't been working out for a while. over all i tried to pay more attention to the aesthetics and art direction more than the technical details. start to finish this took me around 3 weeks. high poly was sculpted in mudbox, low poly created in topogun and maya, normal map and AO baking was partly done in xNormal and Maya and texturing was done in photoshop.<br />
